1. Drawing with a white color


To draw on a snap you're about to send, hold your finger down to the screen and slide to the left. This will change the color to white. You can then draw on the pic. The colors on iPhone may however be limited.

​Snapchat features a list of your best friends and a recent list of people you last chat with on your friends list. This can be seen on top of the screen that displays your friends list after you take a snap. The purpose of these two features -- best friends and recent list -- is to enable an easy navigation, or a shortcut if you will, for you to send your snap to people you're most likely to snapchat with, that is your best friends and people you recently communicate ​​with.

The Snapchat best friends list displays 3 people that you chat with most frequently in the past week and is determined by a 'magical' Snapchat algorithm taking into account your chat score with that person. The recent list however is simply a log of 5 friends that you last chat with. Both these lists are displayed on top of your friends list (which is displayed alphabetically) for easy access.

How To Remove Phone Number On Snapchat [Tutorial]

​Snapchat like most other social communication apps use your mobile phone number for finding new friends, but is not a necessity. In fact, it is not advisable to associate your number with your Snapchat account in the first place. With the already existing privacy issues and controversies surrounding Snapchat, giving out your phone number may land you in a spot you don't want to find yourself in, let alone sending out your more-than-average pics.

There is no need to associa​​te your phone number with your Snapchat account as you can always find friends by accessing your existing contacts list on your phone using the Find Friends icon in the bottom right corner of your screen, or alternatively by typing out their name or username on the pop-up screen of the My Friends menu by scrolling up. And your friends can always find you by this existing methods without having to enter your phone number.

Accessing your photos in Snapchat can be done in several ways. But first, you'll have to understand the concept of how photo messaging works in this much-talked-about social application.

Unlike conventional photo/video sharing apps, Snapchat does not store or keep track of all the photos and videos (called snaps) that you've shared with your friends. When you send a snap, you're provided with the option of setting a time limit on how long it gets displayed on your friends' phone. And when your friends have viewed it, the snap disappears -- that is unless they had taken a screenshot of the snap. All snaps die after a certain period of time.

'Best Friends' is a feature in Snapchat that lists people you communicate with most frequently. If you snapchat with someone more often than others, that someone will be featured on the list of your best friends alongside other two people that you chat with most. The best friends list is displayed on your profile and features a score that indicates the number of snaps you've sent to that person in the last 7 days.

The best friends list is updated every week and displays 3 people that you communicate with most often within the week. However, the list can be extended to accommodate 5 people by using the code "sopopular..." (note lowercase and ellipsis at the end). This secret code is entered into the text field after taking a photo after which you proceed to your friends list and hit refresh.

Snapchat has disabled the best friends feature, it has come up with a new feature called Snapchat Friend Emojis.

Also, a new Snapchat emoji that's driving people crazy: the snapchat hourglass emoji.
